We have an opportunity for a Senior Python Developer to join the team to drive the pipeline of new and exciting projects.

The is a full-time permanent, remote role based in anywhere in Australia.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and modularize an existing python 3 codebase
  • Build reusable code, components, and libraries for future use
  • Participate in code reviews, system designs, implementation decisions, performance optimization, and overall best practices
  • Debug issues and produce high-quality code to fix them
  • Contribute to technical documentation that define best practices for authoring high-quality code

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive years of experience in Python 3 with focus on event-driven code using asyncio
  • Experience in NumPy, Pandas and FastAPI libraries
  • Experience in pytest and Git
  • Docker and Debian/Ubuntu Linux
  • Experience with database technologies - PostgreSQL, SQLite
  • Enthusiastic self-learner and self-motivated
  • Experience managing a team promoting best practices, mentoring and continuous improvement
